Privacy Policy

Narratur is a location-based audio walk app. We collect only what we need to make it work, we do not sell your data, and we do not share it with advertisers.
1. What we collect
When you use Narratur, we may collect the following:
- Location data — your approximate or precise GPS position, used locally on your device to trigger audio at the right stops along a walk. Location is not transmitted to our servers during a walk.
- Usage data — which walks you start or complete, how long you listen, and crash reports. This helps us improve the app.
- Device information — operating system version and device model, used for debugging and compatibility.
We do not collect your name, email address, or payment information unless you explicitly provide them (e.g. to join the early access list).
2. How we use it
- To deliver location-triggered audio at the correct stops
- To understand how people use the app and improve it
- To diagnose crashes and fix bugs
- To contact you if you signed up for early access updates
3. Location data
Narratur requests access to your device location while the app is in use. Location is processed on-device to determine proximity to walk stops. We do not store a history of your movements on our servers.
You can revoke location permission at any time in your device settings. Without it, automatic audio triggering will not work, but you can still manually advance through a walk.
4. Data sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes. We may share anonymised, aggregated usage statistics (e.g. "walk X was completed 200 times") that cannot identify you.
We may use third-party services for crash reporting and analytics (such as Firebase). These services are bound by their own privacy policies and process data only as needed to provide the service.
5. Data retention
If you contact us to request deletion of any data associated with you, we will do so within 30 days.
6. Children
Narratur is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
7. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the app evolves. If we make significant changes, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated policy.
